Eftirfarandi er texti um verk hennar:
Að vinna með og í rými.
Jafnvel þótt að meginhluti verka minn tilheyri ljósmyndum, þá kemur rými oft við sögu. Þetta getur verið ljósmyndarverk i formi innsetninga, byggt upp sem innsetning sem á að ljósmynda. Með innsetningum fylgir gjarnan tónlist sem hefur verið sérstakega þróuð fyrir verkið. í þeim tilvikum vinn ég með tónlistarmönnum ásamt því að semja tónlistina sjálf.
Það að þróa nýtt verk er líkt og fljót sem rennur í gegnum landslagið. Með því að umlykja þemað, mismunandi hliðar birtast og krefjast eigin forms.
Oft hef ég áhuga á spurningum er fjalla um skynjun og túlkun hennar.
Verkefni á Íslandi:
Landslag:
Ljósmyndaverk.
Þar til nú hef ég byggt landslag í stúdíóinu.Ég tæli áhorfandan til að sja, þvert gegn eigin vitund, skóg. Í íslenska ljósmyndaverkinu mun ég meðhöndla hið raunverulega landslag líkt og gríðarstórt stúdío. Yfir næturtíman mun ég taka ljósmyndir með löngu ljósopi og lýsa upp ákveðna punkta í umhverfinu. Á þennan máta mun landslagið breytast, tileinka sér súrrealiskan blæ og mun ekki vera skynjað sem raunverulegt rýmim.
Ég vinn með 4 x 5' ljósmyndavél.
Abstrakt vegamynd:
Teiknimynd, 6 mín.
Vegamynd, er víxlar stöðugt á að vera raunverulegt landslag og blekteikning. Til að ná þessum áhrifum þarf ég að hafa umhverfi sem í sjálfumsér er nú þegar abstrakt í eðli sýnu. Ég held að Ísland að vetri til með sitt eldfjallarlandslag, mismunandi liti steinefna, hið sjaldgæfa en viðkvæma ljós fylli köfurnar fyrir þetta verkefni. Á þennan máta hefur áhorfandin ekkert tækifæri til að staðsetja sjálfan sig. Beygjan verður tekin frá raunverulegri ferð og yfir í ímyndað ferðalag.
Heimspeki tréð:
vídeo.
Tréið (sem er í raun her í felubúning) rambar um hin menningarlega heim og endar á Íslandi, þar sem það biður um hæli. Ég held það fagni því að það séu svo fá tré. Á ferð sinni hittir það mannverur, og á í samræðum við þær.Það mun hitta óvenjulegan viðarahúsgagnarsala, rökræða við heimspeking um sannleikskenningar, tala við umhverfisráðherra og sérfræðing um álfa. Fígúran, sem að er eitthvað á milli persónugervingar og goðsagnarkenndrar veru, leyfir okkur að vera undrandi yfir þessum heimum og kerfum sem að mannveran byggir.
Ég yrði mjög ánægð ef enhverjir myndu ganga til liðs við mig við videoverkin mín. Ég er a leita að fólki sem að tréð mætti taka viðtöl við. Upptökur byrja 17. desember.

Following is a text about her work;
Work in and with Space
Even though my principal work is situated in the field of photography, space is frequently involved. This can be as well photographic work used in an installative form, as built-up installations specially to be photographed. Installative works are often accompanied by music, specially developed for it. On this occasion I work as well with musicians as I am composing the soundtrack myself.
Developing new works has a certain similarity with a river meandering through a landscape. By surrounding the theme, different aspects occure and demand a form of it‘s own.
Often I am interested in questions concerning perception and its interpretation.

Till this moment I have built up landscapes in the studio. I seduced the observer to see, against his better-knowing, a forest. In my icelandic photographic work I will treat the real landscape like a huge studio. During the night I will take photographies with long time exposure and flash out specific points in the surrounding. Like that, the landscape changes, gets some surreal aspects and won‘t be felt as a congruent space.

An abstract road movie

A Road-Movie, constantly changing between real landscape and ink drawing. To achieve this effect, I need to have a surrounding which in itself has allready a high degree of abstraction. I think that Iceland in winter-time with its volcanic grounds, the different colors of the minerals, the rare but delicat light is most suitable for this project. By that the observer has no opportunity to situate himself. The curve will be done from real journey to imaginated voyage.
The philosophic tree

The tree ( in fact a military hiding costume) rambles through the civilazed world and ends up in Iceland, where it‘s asking for asylum. It thinks to be welcome seeing that there are not many trees. On it‘s journey it meets human beings, having conversations with them. It will run into an esoterical trader of wooden furniture, debates with a philosopher about theories of truth, talks to a minister of environement and a specialist for elfs. The figure, something inbetween a personification and a mythical creature, lets us be astonished at the worlds and systems human beeings build up.

I would be glad to find volunteers joining my video-work. I am searching for people which are willing to give to the tree an interview. The filming starts at the 17.december.
